USF gunman taken into custody
TAMPA, Fla. — University of South Florida police say one person is in custody, shortly after receiving a report of a possible gunman on campus.
USF Police have issued an all clear after taking a suspect into custody. A report was issued at approximately 1:36 pm that a USF gunman was on the loose. This follows a similar incident that occurred in July; USF police immediately put the school on lockdown. The report stated that a man with armed with a gun and carrying a bomb was in the area of the library.
The immediate message stated: Alert Tampa Campus – Armed intruder on Campus. Stay inside. Lock doors. Emergency personnel responding.
