There were a few upsets on the week 6 NFL final scores but a few teams narrowly avoided upsets as well. Amongst the most shocking “almost” upset scores of week 6 saw the Jacksonville Jaguars forced to beat the lowly St Louis Rams 23-20 in overtime after St Louis tied the game with a field goal with only 4 seconds left.

SBGglobal Sportsbook is the sponsor for this week 6 NFL scores update and you’ll want to check out their betting odds for the late game today. Click here to check out our article on the Bears vs Falcons Sunday night clash and picks.

This almost certainly means that the Redskins will have a new coach for the rest of the season. The Chiefs had only won 2 of their last 30 NFL games heading into week 6.

NFL Picks Week 5 Betting Odds and NFL Predictions: Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings covered the NFL point spreads in last weeks NFL picks matchup against the Green Bay Packers and in their week 5 NFL picks matchup the undefeated Vikings will take on the St. Louis Rams. NFL odds makers are currently listing the Vikings as the -10½(-105) point NFL picks favorite and have set the over/under NFL odds to 41( ov-110).

Many online sports handicapping experts wrote off Brett Favre after last years performance with the New York Jets including the Green Bay Packers and it appears that it was the team and the legendary QB. Brett Favre is in his 19th year and not much has changed for the quarterback as he puts up game winning performances one after the next in 2009. The Minnesota Vikings will be looking to continue their NFL picks winning streak as they face the Rams on Sunday at 1PM, the Rams are coming into their week 5 NFL picks matchup against the Vikings without a single win so far this season and have managed to score only 24 points all season.

With the Vikings set as the -10½(-105) combined with the fact that the St. Louis Rams have been shut out twice this NFL picks season the under is looking like the best NFL prediction for the NFL picks matchup. Taking the Vikings with a -10½ point spread could also be a winning week 5 NFL pick as the Brett Favre-Adrian Peterson duo continue to dominate their defensive opponents.

Week 5 NFL Picks: Heading into this week 5 NFL predictions matchup the 4-0 Vikings will be looking to get their 5th straight NFL picks victory over the 0-4 St. Louis Rams.
In a statement to KMOX, Limbaugh confirms the bid but would not name additional partners.

“Dave and I are part of a bid to buy the Rams and we are continuing the process,” Limbaugh’s statement read. “But I can say no more because of a confidentiality clause in our agreement with Goldman Sachs. We cannot and will not talk about our partners. But if we prevail, we will be the operators of the team.”

Georgia Frontiere moved the Rams from Los Angeles to St. Louis in 1995. She died in January 2008 and her two children are now majority owners.

By now, you’ve probably seen the footage of Tim Tebow going down yesterday during the game against Kentucky. The sack by Taylor Wyndham was pretty hard, but the real doozy was his head knocking forward off of the leg of another Gator, Marcus Gilbert.

He was injured and taken to hospital following the match against Kentucky that his team won handsomely.

Tim Tebow has been playing superbly for the last several years.

He opened the 2009 season continuing a streak of of throwing and running for a touchdown in blowout wins over Charleston Southern and Troy.

He ran for a touchdown in the third game, a win against Tennessee, but failed to throw for a touchdown for the first time since his freshman season.

Tebow started against Kentucky despite suffering from a respiratory illness and taking two bags of intravenous fluids before the game.

He ran for two touchdowns to put him in 2nd place on the all-time SEC touchdown list and he also threw for a touchdown.

Late in the third quarter he was hit in the chest by Kentucky defensive end Taylor Wyndham and then in the back of the head while falling by knee of Florida tackle Marcus Gilbert.

But after a couple minutes being attended to by Florida’s medical personnel, Tebow eventually sat up, eliciting a huge cheer from the crowd at Kentucky’s Commonwealth Stadium. The game was in the third quarter with Florida up 34-7 when Tebow went down, and he won’t return. Tebow initially sat on the bench but after vomiting he was taken to the locker room. Tebow was already ailing heading into Saturday’s game, having been diagnosed with what Florida is describing as a respiratory problem but what some media reports have speculated could be swine flu.

A report about his illness says, “After being evaluated at the hospital in Kentucky, they have now decided to keep him overnight for further evaluation. Reports say that keeping him overnight is purely for precaution and that they do not suspect there to be any further damage…There was already a question before the game on whether or not Tim Tebow would even play in the game or not. The Gators had several team members ride in a seperate plane to the game because of a sickness that was going around. The decision was almost made before the game to let John Brantley start, but Tebow was feeling well enough to play. Urban Meyer told the associated press, “He asked me ‘Did I hold onto the ball?. I told him he did and he winked at me and said It’s great to be a Gator.”
